File Transfer Protocool (FTP) is a network protocol used to transfer data from one computer to another through a network such as the Internet.

At Navyk we use FileZilla to transfer files.

File transfer with FTP

All files are zipped and transmitted via FTP with exception of print screens and drawing details belonging to questions, these can be send by e-mail.

Project code is the KP code.

Navyk > client

Files for KP are put on the Navyk FTP server in the folder: [jantabo] \ [project]. After putting files on the server, an e-mail is sent to KP to inform them about the new drawings.

File name ‘KP-aaaaa-bb’ example: N-07018-23

Where ‘aaaaa’ is the project code, consisting of 5 characters and ‘bb’ is a sequence number, starting with ‘01’.

Client > Navyk

Files from KP for Navyk must be downloaded from the KP server.

File name ‘N-aaaaa-bb’
