See Backups for when and where backups are created.

Login to the file-server (Administrators only).
Open Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Backup
Cancel the wizard.
In the left window browse to the desired folder or file.
In the lower left corner Restore files to: select Alternate location or Single folder. Do NOT choose original location to avoid undesired overwriting of data.
Browse to an Alternate location (somewhere on the server where the user can take it from).
Click Start Restore.
