A linesplan can refer to:

  • 2D drawing representing the hull and it's sections
  • 2D drawing or 3D sketches with principal measurements of a hull and/or superstructure which forms the starting plan for modeling linesplan model or surface model.

Requirements[edit]

  • basic hull from MultiSurf without details
  • stations - waterline divided in 10 equal distances
  • station 0 is at aft intersection of centerline with waterline, 10 is at forward intersection of centerline with waterline
  • waterlines - at intervals of 250mm below the waterline and 500mm above the waterline
  • buttocks - at intervals of 500mm
  • scale: 1:50 or 1:100
  • origin indicated with symbol
  • scale line with stations and meters
  • table 'main particulars' indicating:
    • principal dimensions
    • principal parameters
    • sink ton/cm

  • layers
  • linesplan export settings from MultiSurf
