Installing SC2005 and SC2008 Side-by-side[edit]
CLIENT
- Install AutoCAD 2005 or 2006 (for SC2005)
- Install AutoCAD 2007 or 2008 or 2009 (for SC2008)
- Install .NET Framework 1.1
- Install .NET Framework 2.0
- Install ShipConstructor 2005 1.3 Client
- Install ShipConstructor 2008 Client off the DVD or from the Full Install download
- Update to the latest SC2008 version
SERVER
- Install .NET Framework 1.1
- Install .NET Framework 2.0
- Install MS SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000)
- Install ShipConstructor 2005 1.3 Server
- (Optional) Install SQL Server 2005 Express Edition - this is optional because SC2008 can use the same SQL Server as SC2005
- Install ShipConstructor 2008 Server off the DVD or from the Full Install download
- Update to the latest SC2008 version
