There are several ways to import a 3D model from Rhino to Multisurf, each with it's advantages and drawbacks.

*If you need to import a surface with a big precision and further using it for 3D modeling in multisurf (eg. importing the hull surface of a boat and using it to make a deck or superstructure), you should use the *.iges format file. This will import the surface with the specified tolerance as a single surface.
