Questions

General

Construction

  • portholes - cut-out drawing will be provided by yard
  • Do we put a flat plate under the forecabin escape hatch? NO
  • Do we make hatch in swim platform for removing the stern thruster? NO
  • Curved part with bending on the edge of the roof? YES
  • F23 forepeak bhd - hole without steel hatch? YES

Systems

  • tank connections height
  • Will the discharge of wastewater overboard be made using a pump or a simple gravity discharge ? gravity discharge is not possible because tank is partially below waterline
  • We need 2 drain units(instead of 1, mentioned in purchase list) from Exalto; Allowed ? YES
  • For fuel tanks supply (PS and SB) we need: 1 Splash-Stop Vetus FS5125, 1 Deck entry Osculati 20.667.03 and 1 No smell Vetus NSF25D Fuel fill only on one side
  • Do we need to make manual control override for the rudder? - NO, just a square head at rudder shaft
  • Deck fills like in catfish 1 or without the cover Deckfills in sidedecks, fresh water on one side, fuel on the other side, respect distance between deckfills conform CE
  • bow thruster greasing reservoir position(needs to bee DWL+500)
  • as rudder arm, has been chosen Vetus HELM40
  • because the connection kit for diesel fuel tanks chosen (Vetus FTKITB) has filling connection Ø50mm, ventilation Ø16mm, supply line Ø10mm and return line Ø10mm, it needs to replace a few products. In this case, instead of the old ones, we will need:
  • has been chosen also:
    • interconnection kit Vetus FTKITD for the twin diesel fuel tanks.
    • air vent line for diesel fuel tanks Vetus TPC

Electrical

  • Do we habe battery boxes? NO, battery rack of L50x50

Insulation

  • insulation is 80mm wool
  • ER insulation is 30mm from Merford

Interior

  • Do we have a hatch above the engine in the plywood sole? Wat betreft motorluik kan ik zo niet goed beoordelen. Ben deze week niet op kantoor om tekeningen te beoordelen. Is de ruimte krap of niet toegangkelijk? Kom hier anders volgende week op terug.

Paint and Varnish

To do

  • make DWF model

Naval Architecture

Construction

Systems

  • gas line
  • capacity of starter battery for big engine?
  • tankconnections - to be grouped on each tank and make sure they are accessible

  • optional equipment:
    • 4 (2?) batteries
    • generator
    • Victron battery charger
  • fuel tanks - steel
  • subframe - engines to be removable (bolted tubes)
  • engine air intakes - 2 vents of sufficient size for biggest engine (650x152 conform Vetus)
  • engine - check if engine is completely accessible for maintenance
  • waste water - no smell filter / vacuum valve?

40 Construction

  • as simple as possible in order to reduce costs of material and manhours
  • use bending parts as much as possible: reduced manhours for welding and painting
