Scope

  • hydrostatics
  • general construction plan
  • construcion building kit without
    • bench aftdeck
    • mast
  • systems
  • possible interior building kit

Time schedule

  • wk32 preliminary approval
  • planning Linskens:
    • half januar 2012 delivery first boat
    • 1 month for building in systems + interior
    • 1 month for hull construction
    • start hull construction half october

Questions

  • thrusters - model and type - standard pipe conform Peter
  • gaslocker - position?
  • options - what to do with them
  • tube railing detail - Udo?
  • bathrooms - GRP units?
  • steering console - GRP unit?
  • Is the ventilation intake ok under the stairs, like in the construction drawing?
  • Stern tube outer diameter ∅95 is ok?
  • If we move the aft wall forward and if we keep the ventilation under the stairs like in the construction drawing, we'll have to change the bulwark and the windows;
  • wheelhouse entrance door details.
  • Vetus DC, Fuel Stop; More details needed - solved
  • tank connections height
  • audio/video?
  • Will the discharge of wastewater overboard be made using a pump or a simple gravity discharge ?
  • We need 2 drain units(instead of 1, mentioned in purchase list) from Exalto; Allowed ?
  • For fuel tanks supply (PS and SB) we need: 1 Splash-Stop Splash-Stop Vetus FS5125, 1 Deck entryOsculati 20.667.03,

Naval architecture

Tank arrangement

  • tanks at CL
  • waste water 215l - Vetus BTANK215
  • fresh water 450l - Vetus or custom made
  • fuel 800l - Vetus or custom made
  • waste water tank in 'engine room'
  • fresh water tank NOT in 'engine room'
  • fresh water tank NOT under beds

Propulsion

  • maximum speed 17kmh
  • standard engine is 140hp
  • optional engine is 200hp (consider for air intake)

Construction

  • as simple as possible in order to reduce costs of material and manhours
  • use bending parts as much as possible: reduced manhours for welding and painting
  • railing aftdeck - mounted on L80x40, flange up and outward, ends in line with aftcabin contour, ends closed with plates (this will be painted in contrasting colour) - see sketch 1
  • rubrail swimplatform - rubber D-profile mounted on tube OD30 welded at 6mm distance from shell (spacers not in delivery) - see scan stootrand
  • inner transom is a bending part
  • transom stairs - 1 bending part
  • keel and rudder as Catfish 1, unless we can improve it
  • sternthruster model and position as Catfish 1
  • air intake - was the Catfish logo but this might give problems with painting so this will become a simple label (needs to allow a flow of 10-15 m³/min for combustion)
  • airintake - integrate, solution? (purchase part is about €250)
  • bulwark - single plate, tube OD30 on top
  • bulwark iwo bow - continue over CL when doubts about strength - add hole for anchor
  • forepeak bhd - WT with hatch for inspection anchor arrangement
  • chain locker - drains to bowthruster
  • chainlocker - no bottom (Forepeak is under the waterline, it will flood)
  • rubrail - not present, striping only
  • steering console - plywood dashboard panels overlapping steel sides, mounted on FB
  • aft deck - soft patch - size as biggest wet unit
  • bench aft deck - purchase part
  • engine room - as small as possible
  • engine room - not in steel

Subframe

Function:

  • base for interior construction
  • base for systems installation
  • mounting of interior + systems into hull

Outfitting

Sole supports

  • conform GA, minimum headroom 2.00m net, sloping downward in forecabin
  • stairs - riser 225mm maximum
  • longitudinal rectangular tubes, in cutouts in frames
  • windscreen - coaming as Catfish1
  • salon entry - custom purchase part Boomsma

Windows and hatches

  • exact dimension and position pending on interior
  • drawn is exterior of windowprofile
  • profile overlaps steel by 17mm, HIP is offset of 20mm

Systems

  • see Excel sheet 'catfish techniek'
  • electric switch panel 230V/24V Busch-Jaeger
  • optional heating (air) will be implemented in kit

Interior

  • finish is HPL except window box which will be Sky
  • materials
    • basewood/shell covering - plywood ocoume
    • furniture - MDF + HPL
    • ? - birch plywood
    • Corian soles in wet units
  • wet units as Centreboard
  • dinette's - rectangular, purchase parts, not to intersect shell
  • cabin doors - honeycomb with wooden insert at hinge side + HPL / ABS
  • cabinet closing device - push button latch Southco

Surface model

  • no extended swimplatfrom
  • radius required at corner side/swimplatform to accommodate D-profile (fillet between side and transom, extends to the bottom)
  • steering console - steering pump not to collide with joinery wall, move console aft if necessary
  • foredeck - no hatches
  • bulwark - single plate, continue over bow when doubts about strength
  • bollard boxes - extend to deck
  • hull to be faired where neccessary
  • aftdeck surface - close in way of bench

Building kit

  • windows - mark, cut or cut with bridges, up to us
  • portholes fore ship - partially cut
  • portholes aft ship - cut
  • hatches - cut
  • salon entry - cut
