Characteristics

Complexity

  • Advanced drafting aimed at making complex drawings
  • Accuracy is required with a modeling tolerance of 0.05mm
  • Sometimes working under time constraints
  • A minimum BSc degree or equivalent experience required, complemented by a broad orientation to the company's knowledge and standards, as well as to used software and material science
  • Should be able to take decisions which do not have a considerable effect on the project

Organizing capacity

  • Tied to own-desk procedures
  • Availability to sacrifice its own time for projects and availability to stay after hours
  • Receives supervision and consultations from project coordination members for the supplied drawings and also gives consultations to inferior hierarchical members
  • The encountered problems are limited in complexity
  • Contacts are project based and external contacts can be used to get appropriate information
  • Good communication skills are required for the proper execution of the work
  • Good command of the English language (both writing and speaking)

Responsibility

  • Reports encountered errors in the supplied drawings to the project leader for further instructions
  • Self created errors lead to additional work and inspections
  • Self created errors are detected by the higher hierarchical members and restored
  • Get required information from the material/equipment suppliers
  • Confidentiality is required with respect to non disclosure agreements on certain projects
  • Will temporary replace higher hierarchical position in case team member is missing, taking full responsibility
  • Work should be carried out in a responsible manner
  • Trains draftsmen

  • Normal office working conditions

Hierarchical progress

  • Continuous self development and study required for hierarchical progress
  • Typically two years experience in E category required to advance to Assistant structural project leader - level F
  • Special cases to be considered with additional tasks
