Contents
General
- How to display the SC ribbons?
→Type "ribbon"
- Why layers cannot be seen in SC2005?
Administrator
- How to create project without password?
→ NOTE- It is not about the project, it's only a user setting. → Open Administrator → Login to server NAVYK-SERVER\SHIPCON using password "ShipCon" → Tools menu → Manage users → Select the user for whom you want to change the password → Change password
Manager
- Correct settings for text style, height, etc. (they disappear after exploding nests?! DXF?!)
Hull
- minimum import tolerance is 0.1mm, how to increase?
→ 0.1 is the minimum value
- trim lines in hull gives big differences because of NURBS lines are transformed into polylines
→ Trim the surfaces with rhino imported lines (exploded), not with nurbs.
Structure
- CON layer buttons must be made functional
- After a new install of AutoCad you have to copy the file acad.dbv to the new instaltion folder → Type CUILOAD → Browse (select H:\Documents and Settings\AutoCad\AutoCad 2006\NavykNew\Navyknew.cui) → Load and Close
- arange your toolbars and if Construction layer toolbar does not apear → Right click on the toolbars → NAVYKNEW → Check Construction Layer
- layer management (important for bound approval)
- NOTE- It's an AutoCad issue
- You can open Layer manager by typing layer
- For more details search Acad Help for "Use New Layer Notification"
- unreconciled layers - what is the use?
- Unreconciled layers are new layers that have been added to the drawing and have not yet been acknowledged by the user and manually marked as reconciled.
- unreconciled layers are not plotted because SC switches them 'off', switch them on manually to plot the drawing
- NOTE - unreconciled layers cannot be plotted in AutoCad2006, send the drawings as PDF.
- Export - how to export only the solid layers?
Nest
- Paint is not correct updated in the BOM
- Alignment for name and paint to be left
- Nest template - text style
- Nest - layer use
- Parts cannot be exploded outside the project (for export to NC-Pyros)
