Capaciteitsberekening koelpijpen

By Daniel Boekel

Pipe cooling:

  • 1" = 26mm ID = 3,55 hp/m
  • 1 1/4" = 35mm ID = 4,75 hp/m
  • 1 1/2" = 40mm ID = 5,45 hp/m
  • 2" = 52mm ID = 7,00 hp/m
  • 2 1/2" = 65mm ID = 8,85 hp/m
  • 3" = 80mm ID = 10,50 hp/m

Bottom cooling (box against shell): (dimensiosn: total length of box x height of box (section to be square or triangular))

  • 200x6 = 10 hp/m
  • 180x6 = 9 hp/m
  • 160x6 = 8 hp/m
  • 140x5 = 7 hp/m
  • 120x5 = 6 hp/m
  • 100x5 = 5 hp/m

Further:

  • keep cross section area at least the same as cross section of engine connections
  • st.st. is not a suitable construction material because of it's reduced heat transfer properties
  • table received from a worker of Vooruit in Zaandam (NL)
