Propulsion

  • Diesel electric propulsion – SRF recently did a boat of LOA 25m / 25 kW which reached 7 km/h min. Potential electric engine supplier is Boumuller (Hybrid Ship Propulsion)

  • 15.01 General provisions

    • 10 - Doors in bulkheads referred to in section 5 that are open for long periods shall meet the following requirements:
      • - They shall be closed from both sides of the bulkhead and from an easily accessible position above the bulkhead deck.

  • 15.03 Stability
    • 1 - The stability calculations shall be done considering the vessel is free of trim. The empty vessel's stability characteristics shall be verified by an inclining test.
    • 2 - The intact stability shall be calculated for the following standard load conditions:
      • - a) departure condition: 100% passengers, 98% fuel and fresh water, 10% waste water;
      • - b) while driving 100% passengers, 50% fuel and fresh water, 50% waste water;
      • - c) arriving condition 100% passengers, 10% fuel and fresh water, 98% waste water;
      • - d) empty vessel: no passengers, 10% fuel and fresh water, no waste water.
      • - For all standard load conditions, the ballast tanks are either empty or full in accordance with normal use.
