Vacation days

  • Every employee is entitled to at least 21 vacation days per year, regardless of the type of their contract (whether it is part-time or full-time).
  • Every employee should take 10 days off in a row throughout the year.
  • Free national days and the free days mentioned in Navyk internal procedure are not included in vacation days.
  • Employees should use all their vacation days throughout one year.
    • If this is not possible, the employees must make a written statement that they did not request the holiday
    • The rest of the vacation days will be consumed within 18 months starting the following year
  • Vacation days are calculated proportionally to the work performed during the year.
    • Technical unemployment, unpaid leave and truancy are deducted from the work performed.
    • Medical leave, maternity leave and unpaid leave for professional training will be considered work performed.
  • Compensating vacation days with money is possible only when the contract is ended.
  • For every 2 years worked at Navyk, 1 extra day will be added to the holiday number mentioned in the work contract.

Free national days

  • All employees must take days off for all national holidays throughout a year.
  • Taking the day off on another day is possible on the following terms:
    • the day off should be taken within 1 month since the national holiday.
    • the office manger or project leader should be informed beforehand about the intention of switching the day.
    • the extra hours made on national holiday will be paid with 200%.
  • The free national days are:
    • 1st & 2nd January - New Year
    • 6st January - Epiphany / Boboteaza
    • 7st January - St. John the Baptist
    • 24th January - United Romania
    • Good Friday / Vinerea mare
    • 1st & 2nd day of Easter
    • 1st May - Labour Day
    • 1st June - Children's Day
    • 1st & 2nd Pentecost day
    • 15th August - St. Mary
    • 30th November - St . Andrew
    • 1st December - National day
    • 1st & 2nd Christmas day
